Ambrose Blaine a small farmers son from Co. Mayo Ireland, with a severe case of worldly wander lust gained from endless hours of day dreaming from the seat of a Massey Fergusson tractor chopping grass for sillage. Aided by a desire to record his sights, sounds and experiences of The Middle East and Africa ingrained by the pain of saddle sores from the seat of an awkward BMW GS 1150 Adventurer accompanied by an even more awkward bunch of like minded itinerants (travelers) embarked on creating this journey of adventure into the unknown Gods garden of Africa and beyond.
Greatly influenced by Ted Simon author of the many brilliant Jupiter books on long distance motorcycle travel and Jeff Hill author of the Road to Gobblers Knob, decided to give it a lash! Together with John O Kelly a small time suck calf trader from Co. Kilkenny turned Middle East metal mogul finally relaised a dream speckled by the odd nightmare on 2nd October 2006.
Given the backing of his beautiful, understanding and long suffering wife Anne and his three, often times sarcastic daughters, Aoibhin, Niamh and Anna, the reverie became a reality.
