The 'boys' decided to do a day tour of Zimbabwe so they filled up their tanks with fuel as they knew they would not be able to buy any fuel inside Zimbabwe and headed for the border which was only 9km away.

Kimmo stayed behind to rest, you can only imagine how sick of Irish boggers he must be at this stage of the trip and probably a bit nervous about his upcoming nuptials especially if the others had been imparting any of the 'poor me - trapped down' stories!

They had lunch at the Victoria Falls Hotel which was an 'old world' hotel and Jim managed to spend over 1.2 million Zimbabwean dollars on a bottle of water!!! After lunch they headed back towards Zambia and just before the border John was stopped by a uniformed man who demanded to see his passport.

John was a bit suspicious of him as he was quite scruffy so decided he would also demand to see this mans papers which of course were correct! The policeman then noticed the digital camera mounted on the front of John's bike and as he looked through it he could see the scenery in front of it move and shouted back at the hut, 'He's filming everything!'

His comrades then joined him and decided to detain John. They felt he was a journalist or worse and asked him to prove that the camera was not a video camera, difficult when in fact it was both a still and video camera!

They then decided to check through each and every one of the photos on his camera and after some 40 mins of questioning him released him to leave the country! They then explained to John that they were in fact 'security for the election'...................Left Zimbabwe!
